Yesterday afternoon after I got both of the kids in the house following our day at work and daycare, my perceptive little 2-year-old, Caroline, noticed that I wasn't myself. This is our conversation:
Caroline: "Mommy sad?"
I replied, "Yes, sweetheart, Mommy is a little sad today."
Caroline then said, "Mommy, want to go shopping later?"
Ahh...my little girl already understands how retail therapy can make the day a little brighter!
